Another major R&B tour is set to make stops in North Carolina as multi-platinum artists Bryson Tiller and Ty Dolla $ign hit the road for a 61-date run, coming to Charlotte (September 3 at Truliant Amphitheater) and Raleigh on (September 4 at Coastal Credit Union Music Park). The Neo Trapsoul Tour will also feature Canadian-Bahraini alternative R&B duo Majid Jordan and DJ/producer Austin Millz for both North Carolina dates.
Tiller, who broke through with his 2015 single “Don’t” and debut album Trapsoul, is known for his atmospheric R&B/hip-hop sound and trap-influenced production. He is gearing up to release a new project following his double album Solace & The Vices, which featured an R&B side and rap side with features from BossMan Dlow, T-Pain, Luh Tyler, Rick Ross, Plies, Bun B, and BabyDrill, with production by Hitmaka, Charlie Heat, Teddy Walton, and Gravez. The tour will also celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Trapsoul, one of the most influential modern R&B albums of the past decade.
Ty Dolla $ign, one of the most prominent hitmakers in modern R&B, hip-hop, and pop, is responsible for countless chart-topping records. A multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, he has collaborated with Kanye West, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Future, Travis Scott, Young Thug, A$AP Rocky, Tyler, The Creator, and The Weeknd, among many others. Ty Dolla $ign has not performed in Charlotte since opening for Chris Brown in 2019.
Majid Jordan, a synth-pop alternative R&B duo signed to OVO Sound, are best known for their collaborations with Drake, including “Hold On, We’re Going Home” from Nothing Was the Same, as well as “My Love,” “Stars Align,” and “Gave Your Love Away” from their 2017 album The Space Between.
Artist presale began Wednesday, June 3 at 12 p.m. with tickets going on sale to the general public Friday, June 5 at 12 p.m.
