Gracie Abrams has announced a North American tour, coming to Charlotte for back-to-back nights on February 26-27 at Spectrum Center.
The daughter of filmmaker J. J. Abrams, Abrams released her first single, “Mean It,” in 2019 and her debut EP in 2020. Best known for her hits “That’s So True,” “I Miss You, I’m Sorry,” “Close To You,” “Risk,” and “I Love You, I’m Sorry,” Abrams will release her third studio album, Daughter from Hell, on July 17.
Releasing the first single “Hit the Wall” earlier this month, the new album will feature production from Aaron Dessner of The National and Justin Vernon of Bon Iver.
One of pop’s fastest-rising singer-songwriters through her emotionally vulnerable indie sound, Abrams saw her second studio album, The Secret of Us, debut at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, becoming her first top-10 album. She also opened on multiple legs of Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour and collaborated with Swift on the Grammy-nominated song “Us.”
The Japanese House, Rachel Chinouriri, Holly Humberstone, Del Water Gap, Charlotte Lawrence, Grace Ives, Bella Kay, and Jensen McRae will open on select dates, with Brooklyn synth-pop artist Grace Ives opening the Charlotte shows.
Fans can sign up for presale access at gracieabrams.com/tour through Sunday, May 31, at 10 p.m. with presale beginning June 2. Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, June 5 at 9 a.m. local time.
