Charlotte Hornets vs Miami Heat at Spectrum Center (7:30 p.m.)

The Hornets will play their first postseason game since 2016 at The Hive on Tuesday night against the Miami Heat as the No. 9 seed in the play-in tournament. After finishing the regular season 44-38, they completed the largest single-season turnaround in franchise history after winning just 19 games in the 2024-25 season. The Hornets also made history, as rookie phenom Kon Knueppel and LaMelo Ball finished the season ranked in the top two in total three-pointers made, becoming the second pair of teammates in NBA history to do so. The Hornets went 1-3 against the Heat this season, although they won the most recent matchup with both Bam Adebayo and Andrew Wiggins out. The winner of the Hornets-Heat matchup will face the loser of the No. 7 vs. No. 8 game between Philadelphia and Orlando, with the winner of that game advancing as the No. 8 seed to face the Detroit Pistons in a first-round, seven-game series.

Mammoth, the rock band led by Wolfgang Van Halen, son of Eddie Van Halen, and James and the Cold Gun, a Welsh alternative rock band, will open the show.
