Stand-up comedian Dave Chappelle is returning to the Carolinas for three surprise shows this month, including a stop at Charlotte’s Ovens Auditorium on October 23. The co-creator and star of Chappelle’s Show, which aired on Comedy Central from 2003 to 2006, is a recipient of the prestigious Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. In 2023, he received his fourth Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album (The Closer), and released his latest Netflix special, The Dreamer, in the same year.
Chappelle will also make stops in Durham at DPAC on October 21 and North Charleston Performing Arts Center on October 22. Tickets for all three dates will go on sale Wednesday, October 16 at 12 p.m.
