AAPI Cultural Holiday Festival

The Carolinas Asian American Chamber of Commerce will host a community celebration for the AAPI Cultural Holiday Festival at Eastway Regional Recreation Center on Sunday. Experience the rich cultural heritage of the Asian community through food, crafts, a local market, performances, and interactive booths.

Enjoy authentic Asian cuisine representing multiple countries, including Filipino food, Vietnamese banh mi, boba tea, Lao desserts, Indonesian snacks, and Dulce Dreams’ delectable ube treats. You’ll also be able to support local Asian businesses with their holiday market showcasing Japanese Kimonos, Indian sarees, origami holiday decor, leather goods, handcrafted paper products, and more. The event will offer Asian arts and crafts like printmaking, weaving, Chinese calligraphy, lantern crafting, origami, Ikebana (Japanese flower arranging), and henna art, along with meditation and Reiki sessions. Attendees will also be able to enjoy traditional dance performances, cultural booths, and a Diabolo (Chinese yo-yo) demo.
