Following the release of their new album, The Fear of Standing Still, Raleigh alternative country rockers, American Aquarium, return to Charlotte’s Neighborhood Theatre this week. Fronted by singer-songwriter and guitarist, BJ Barham, the band’s latest album was recorded live at the legendary Sunset Sound in Los Angeles, produced by Grammy winner Shooter Jennings. Barham’s songwriting, shaped by his decade-long sobriety and connection with his fans, is at its most vulnerable and incisive, exploring both personal and sociocultural issues.
The Watson Twins are an indie folk duo consisting of identical twin sisters Chandra and Leigh Watson. Originally from Kentucky, the twins first gained widespread recognition as harmony singers on Jenny Lewis’ 2006 album, Rabbit Fur Coat. Their latest album, Holler, recorded with Grammy-nominated producer Butch Walker, was released in 2023.
