Grammy Award-winning bluegrass singer-songwriter and musician Billy Strings has announced 2023 summer tour dates returning to Cary’s Koka Booth Amphitheatre for three consecutive nights July 13-15. Strings sold out all three nights at Koka Booth in 2022 and also announced in November he will play two nights in Winston Salem at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum March 3-4, celebrating the 100th birthday of Doc Watson.
Raised in Michigan and now based in Nashville, Strings has had a fast rise since his debut in 2017. He won the Grammy for Best Bluegrass Album at the 63rd Grammy Awards in 2020, Artist of the Year at the 2022 Americana Music Awards, Entertainer of the Year at the 2022 International Bluegrass Music Association Awards, and has sold out countless shows, performing at festivals across the country.
Strings released his latest album, Me/And/Dad, in November, the first album he’s recorded with his dad, Terry Barber, through Rounder Records.
