The Cool Presents: The Tonight Show with Dexter Jordan, Sonny Miles, and Mercury Carter

Coming off a world tour backing R&B/neo-soul songstress Ari Lennox, Charlotte’s Dexter Jordan will be headlining Neighborhood Theatre with Winston-Salem’s Sonny Miles and Queen City native Mercury Carter. A concert produced by local collective, The Cool, the event will be loosely based on a late night television show concept with “small interactive interviews and parodies” prior to each set.

Jordan, released his debut album, Blue, in 2019, following up with Dexterity in 2020. Miles is coming off his own tour opening for R&B singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Mac Ayres for multiple dates and recent singles, “WENUNEED” and “Over and Over.” Mercury Carter recently performed at The Gantt covering the songs of jazz greats Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Phyllis Hyman, and Rachelle Ferrell.
