Experience Day Two of Festival of India at Ballantyne’s Backyard with dance performances, cultural exhibits, visual art, henna tattoos, rangoli workshops, and Indian cuisine. The evening will culminate with a concert fusing Indian and Western classical music featuring a collaboration between Charlotte Symphony and multi-instrumentalist Anjan Shah.
Performing Drew Zaremba’s Rhapsody in राग जोग (Raag Jog) and works by Anoushka Shankar, A. R. Rahman, and Mozart, the evening will feature traditional Indian instruments like the bansuri flute and tabla with strings and guitar in an exciting multicultural fusion of music and Kathak dancing.
