Janet Jackson returns to Charlotte this week for her Together Again summer tour with rapper Nelly. The five-time Grammy Award-winner, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, and the youngest sibling of the Jackson family has sold over 100 million records throughout her 11-album career. Jackson recently released deluxe editions of her 10th studio album, Discipline, and 1997’s, The Velvet Rope.
Best known for his early 2000s hits “Hot in Herre,” “Dilemma,” “Ride wit Me,” and “Country Grammar (Hot Shit),” Nelly won two Grammy Awards in 2003 for “Dilemma” featuring Kelly Rowland (Best Rap/Sung Performance) and “Hot in Herre” (Best Male Rap Solo Performance). He last performed in the Charlotte area in 2022 for a NASCAR pre-race concert, and previously in Raleigh for Dreamville Fest in 2019.
