Los Angeles-based Grammy Award-winning Latin band, La Santa Cecilia, are known for their unique fusion of cumbia, bossa nova, mariachi, rock, blues, and jazz. Formed in 2007 and named after the patron saint of musicians, Santa Cecilia, the band has garnered significant acclaim, winning a Grammy Award for Best Latin Rock, Urban or Alternative Album in 2014 for their third studio album, Treinta Días. The band also received nominations for Buenaventura (2017), Y Vivir (2018), and Quiero Verte Feliz (2021).
Consisting of members Marisol “La Marisoul” Hernandez (vocals), Jose “Pepe” Carlos (accordion, requinto), Miguel “Oso” Ramirez (percussion), and Alex Bendaña (bass), the band released a new album, Cuatro Copas Bohemia En La Finca Altozano, in 2023.
