Mercury Dimes is an indie rock band out of Albemarle fronted by Laura Staples (guitar) with Nathan Curlee (drums) and Wesley Mauldin (bass). The band released their debut album, Broken Down Everything, in 2023.
Charlotte post-rock band Thousand Dollar Movie recently released a new EP, Birdfeeder Vol. 1, the follow-up to 2023’s Give Me A Year. Led by bassist Jeremy Ryan Smith with guitarists Zach Luper, Leo Solis, and drummer Dom Geralds, the project was recorded at Sioux Sioux Studios in Charlotte.
Whistler is an indie rock band from Charlotte, consisting of Will Royson (vocals, guitar) and Paul Brazell (guitar). They released their debut EP, Everywhere But Here, in 2021.
