The Mingus Big Band is a musical ensemble based in New York City that specializes in the compositions of Charles Mingus. Originally managed by his widow, Sue Mingus, the Mingus Big Band has earned six Grammy nominations, winning in 2011 for Best Large Jazz Ensemble Album.
