Nia J is an R&B/neo-soul singer-songwriter who recently released her debut studio album, MELOMANIA, on June 29. Frequently collaborating with producer, multi-instrumentalist, and fellow UNC Charlotte grad Ike Byers, her 2019 EP, Rabbit Hole, showcased Nia J’s exquisite vocals and dreamy R&B stylings on tracks like “Hazy,” “Not Delivered,” and “Daytalk.” Standout songs from MELOMANIA include “GWHF,” “ENCORE!” featuring Tre Ahmad, “20 and 5,” and the title track.
Tre Ahmad is an emerging artist whose music seamlessly blends hip-hop, R&B, and pop. His debut album, The Bedroom Popstar, is a testament to his ability to balance braggadocious confidence with raw vulnerability. The album tackles a wide range of topics, from sexuality to mental health, showcasing Ahmad’s lyrical depth and emotional honesty. Ahmad released multiple singles this year including “Encoer” and “Future.”
Te’Jani is a singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist who has quickly rooted himself in the Charlotte music scene. Introducing his talents to the world with the music collective Living Quarters in 2020, Te’Jani released his debut project, GIMP, in 2022. The ten-song EP showcases his dexterity in writing ear-catching songs, which are accompanied by a series of creative videos by the Kovasckitz brothers. Te’Jani released his latest EP, On Prozac, in 2023.
