Celebrating 20 years of the Foreign Exchange album, Connected, producer Nicolay revisits the Grammy-nominated release with live production and a DJ set in Charlotte this week. Foreign Exchange, the R&B/hip-hop group which features producer Nicolay and North Carolina’s Phonte Coleman of Little Brother, released their landmark debut album, Connected, in 2004.

Since then, Nicolay has released a series of solo and collaborative projects, including the City Lights trilogy, the 2018 album Glaciers with jazz trio Hot at Nights, and the 2021 triple-vinyl collection, Analog Dreams. He also recently scored a 30 for 30 documentary (False Positive) for ESPN, releasing his latest album, Terra Firma, on October 8 featuring Carlitta Durand, Sy Smith, BeMyFiasco, Darien Brockington, and Phonte.
