Sam Fribush has returned to the Carolinas after honing his talents in New Orleans at venues like The Spotted Cat and Preservation Hall. In the time back in his native Greensboro, Fribush has worked to cultivate his own jazz sound through collaboration. Fribush is taking his work on the road, playing his takes on songs like Allen Toussaint’s “Riverboat” and Bonnie Raitt’s “Let’s Give Them Something To Talk About,” both tracks from his double-album, Riverboat and The Root.
Fribush will be joined by Braxton Bateman on trumpet and synth, Will Darity on guitar, Malcolm Charles and Chuck Pinckney on drums, and Butler Knowles on bass.
