Rock and Roll Hall of Famers, The Doobie Brothers, best known for their hits “Listen to the Music,” “Long Train Runnin’,” “China Grove,” and “Black Water,” will return to Charlotte this week. Reuniting founding members Tom Johnston and Patrick Simmons with Michael McDonald and John McFee, they’ll bring their illustrious catalog of 16 Billboard top-40 hits on tour.
Grammy Award-winning English pop singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Steve Winwood, will open the show. Best known for his ’80s hits “Valerie,” “Higher Love,” and “Back in the High Life Again,” Winwood was also a member of the bands The Spencer Davis Group (1964-67), Traffic (1967-69 and 1970-74) and Blind Faith (1969). Winwood was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Traffic in 2004.
