Train and REO Speedwagon are teaming up for a co-headlining summer tour stopping in Charlotte this week with Yacht Rock Revue. Fronted by lead singer Pat Monahan, Train is best known for their global hits “Drops of Jupiter (Tell Me),” “Hey, Soul Sister,” and “Meet Virginia.”

Originally formed in 1967, REO Speedwagon, achieved widespread success in the late ’70s with their album, You Can Tune a Piano, but You Can’t Tuna Fish, which included hits such as “Roll with the Changes” and “Time for Me to Fly.” Their best selling album, Hi Infidelity (1980), spent 15 weeks at No. 1, and was eventually certified 10 times platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.
