Tumbao is a high-energy Raleigh-based neo-Latin jazz band formed in 2019, consisting of Diego Avilez (piano, vocals), Rey Riera (congas), Julian Denton (bass), Logan Maxwell (saxophone), AJ Reynolds (saxophone), Rody Josué Huertas (trombone), Aaron Lane (trumpet), Tommy Quinn (guitar), Mike Buckley (guitar), and Ryan Masecar (drums). The bands sound reflects the many different musical flavors of Latin America like salsa, funk, rock, and R&B.
