Celebrating Women’s History Month, JazzArts Charlotte’s Jazz Room welcomes renowned drummer and bandleader, Sherrie Maricle and her quintet, Five Play. Comprised of members from Jazz DIVA Orchestra, the collective is rooted in the jazz tradition with a “creative vision to swing through the twenty-first century.”

Maricle has performed at acclaimed music venues and jazz festivals around the world and received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Mary Lou Williams Women in Jazz Festival.
