Founded in 2002, FloydFest is one of the largest independently run music festivals in the Southeast, featuring a wide-ranging mix of rock, bluegrass, reggae, folk, Cajun, African, Appalachian, and world music. Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, the festival offers a picturesque setting with rolling hills, a scenic hollow, and a small creek. In addition to the music, attendees can enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, mountain biking, and yoga sessions; browse an artisan market; sample a diverse array of food vendors and craft brews; explore a children’s universe with family-friendly programming; and take part in wellness workshops.
