Janelle Monáe has announced a North American tour, coming to Charlotte in October

The multi-talented singer-songwriter, rapper and actor, Janelle Monáe has announced a North American tour coming off the announcement of her new album, The Age of Pleasure, set to be released on June 9. The 26-city trek will kick off on August 30 in Seattle, making a stop in Charlotte at Skyla Credit Union Amphitheate on October 2.

The multi-hyphenate talent is coming off the stellar acting performance in Rian Johnson’s Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, and will be releasing her first album since 2018’s critically acclaimed, Dirty Computer. Monáe released a triumphant single from the forthcoming album, “Float,” featuring horns by Seun Kuti in February and followed up with “Lipstick Lover” on  May 11. Monáe last performed in Charlotte in 2018 at The Fillmore. 

Pre-sale will start for Verizon subscribers on Thursday, June 1 at 10 a.m., artist pre-sale on Friday, June 2 at 10 a.m. and the general public onsale will begin on June 7 at 10 a.m.
