Kid Cudi has announced an expansive U.S. tour with M.I.A., Big Boi, and A-Trak, coming to Charlotte (May 13 at Truliant Amphitheater) and Raleigh (May 12 at Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek). It will be Cudi’s first performance in Charlotte since 2016 and in Raleigh since 2017.

The Rebel Ragers Tour, a 33-date trek that kicks off in Arizona in late April, will make up for Cudi’s canceled North Carolina date in 2024, when he injured his foot at Coachella.

Cudi, best known for his late-2000s hits “Day ‘n’ Nite” and “Pursuit of Happiness,” released his latest album, Free, on August 22. He is also an accomplished actor, known for roles in Need for Speed (2014) and the HBO series How to Make It in America and Westworld (Season 3, 2020).

British-Sri Lankan singer M.I.A., who became an international star in the late 2000s with the global hit “Paper Planes” (2008) and singing the hook on Jay-Z, T.I., Kanye West, and Lil Wayne’s “Swagga Like Us” the same year, is known for blending South Asian, African, Caribbean, and hip-hop influences. She released her latest album, MATA, in 2022, with new singles “Armour” and “SAFE” in 2025.

Big Boi, one half of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame duo Outkast, will join Cudi and M.I.A. for both the Charlotte and Raleigh dates. In addition to his legendary career with Outkast, helping to redefine Southern hip-hop music, Big Boi has an impressive solo catalog that includes Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty (2010), Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors (2012), and Boomiverse (2017), as well as collaborations with indie electronic duo Phantogram on the project Big Grams.

DJ, record producer, and label executive A-Trak, founder of Fool’s Gold Records, was influential to Cudi early in his career and also helped release Run the Jewels’ debut album, launching the careers of artists like Danny Brown.

Artist presale starts Tuesday, January 27 at 10 a.m., with tickets going on sale to the public on Friday, January 30 at 10 a.m.
