It’s been a busy year for the North Carolina rap group known as Little Brother. The Durham hip-hop pioneers reunited at the Art of Cool festival last year, performing as a group for the first time in over a decade. Having announced they will tour primarily as a duo back in May, Phonte and Rapper Big Pooh will also hit the main stage at Raleigh’s Hopscotch Music Festival in September.
The group announced they will release a new album at midnight (Tuesday, August 19 at 12 a.m.). This will be the 5th project under the Little Brother name, and the album will be titled May The Lord Watch. Little Brother was also featured in a short documentary series this year in partnership with the North Carolina Arts Council and Come Hear NC.
