Comedian Matt Rife will be returning to Charlotte for multiple shows at The Comedy Zone May 21-23. Rife, who is currently on his ProbleMATTic World Tour, which sold over 600,000 tickets in under 48 hours, is an Ohio native who is best known for his crowd interaction at shows. He has self-produced two comedy specials (Only Fans in 2021 and Matthew Steven Rife in 2023) and got his start on television shows such as Wild ‘n Out and Brooklyn Nine-Nine, prior to his recent stand-up comedy success. Rife also released a new Netflix special, Natural Selection, on November 15.
Rife sold out two shows at Ovens Auditorium in Charlotte back in December and will play six sets at The Comedy Zone in May. Rife will also be filming a “crowd work comedy special,” so the use of phones, smart watches, and accessories will not be permitted in the performance space. Tickets start at $60 and are now on sale.
