MerleFest adds Mavis Staples and Greensky Bluegrass to already impressive lineup

MerleFest, the music festival founded in 1988 by guitarist Doc Watson named for his son, Eddy Merle Watson is gearing up for a big year. Already a stellar lineup set for April 23-26 taking place in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Wilkesboro, North Carolina, the festival announced additions Mavis Staples, Greensky Bluegrass, Paul Thorn, Cane Mill Road, Sweet Potato Pie, The Barefoot Movement, and more for the 2020 edition.

The lineup announcement adds to an already impressive group of musicians which includes Willie Nelson & Family, Alison Krauss, Melissa Etheridge, John Prine, Lukas Nelson The Jerry Douglas Band, Sam Bush, Billy Strings, The Marcus King Band, Jim Lauderdale, Kruger Brothers, Donna the Buffalo, and many more.
