A new NBA season is upon us and it looks like a new LaMelo Ball signature sneaker is on the way as well. Releasing his first signature shoe with Puma in December 2021, Ball’s MB.01s sold out fast with its sleek design and firm comfortability. Retailing at $125, it was the first signature sneaker for Puma since relaunching their basketball line in 2018.
Co-designed by Ball, the fashionable performance basketball kicks featured Melo’s signature MB.01 logo and “1 of 1” on the tongue, while the sole reveals the word “Rare,” along with another Ball catchphrase, “Not from here,” spread across the lower tongue of the sneaker.
On NBA Media Day, Ball revealed the highly-awaited Puma MB.02s, and thanks to Nick DePaula, the host of Boardroom’s The Sneaker Game YouTube show and writer for ESPN, we got a closer look. The red, orange and blue colorway features many of the same design elements of the MB.01 with a noticeable new pull tag on the tongue. The fiery design also features Ball’s signature crest on the back heel with the word “Rare” on the inner toe box.
Update (10/13): The LaMelo Ball MB.02s will be released on October 21 at 10 a.m., retailing at $130.
