2024 Keep Pounding High School Classic

The 2024 Keep Pounding High School Classic returns to Bank of America Stadium this week with a season-opening double-header as the Independence Patriots take on the Myers Park Mustangs at 4 p.m., and the Providence Day Chargers square off against the Weddington Warriors at 8 p.m.
The Independence Patriots are coming off an impressive 11-win season in 2023, and look to continue their momentum after their final four appearance in the NCHSAA 4A Football Championships. Meanwhile, the Myers Park Mustangs aim to bounce back from their first-round playoff exit, after claiming the 4A SoMeck conference championship last season.
The Providence Day Chargers, ranked nationally by Max Preps, will defend their title after securing their third consecutive NCISAA state championship. The Weddington Warriors will be looking to add to their impressive football legacy this season, after winning their fourth NCHSAA state title in the last decade in 2023.
