Steph Stewart and Mario Arnez have been long-standing collaborators in the North Carolina music scene, but their work as Blue Cactus is their most pronounced and well-defined work to date. The Chapel Hill-based alt-country duo made national waves with their debut LP, earning praise from outlets like Paste and No Depression. Blue Cactus released their latest album, Stranger Again, in 2021.

She Returns From War is the Americana musical project of Charleston’s Hunter Park. A transgender woman who was born and raised in South Carolina, Park has shared stages with Band of Horses, Shovels & Rope, St. Paul and The Broken Bones, The Revivalists, Susto, and more. She Returns From War released a new album, Ruthless, on November 10.

Carolina Down Boys is the folk musical project of singer-songwriters and musicians Heather Himes and Leah Smith, formerly Dust & Ashes.
