Charlotte Blues Society’s 30th Anniversary with Mac Arnold & Plate Full O’ Blues

Mac Arnold is a legendary blues musician who is a former Muddy Waters band member and early James Brown collaborator. The Alabama Blues Music Hall of Famer, who now resides in South Carolina, helped shape the sound of early electric blues, and will bring his foot-stompin’ sounds and infectious smile to the city to celebrate Charlotte Blues Society’s 30th Anniversary.

Established in 1993, Charlotte Blues Society is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to keeping blues music alive in Charlotte. The organization was founded by three blues musicians: Beth Pollhammer, James Linton, and Bill Buck, and Nick Karres, former owner of The Double Door Inn.

The event will also feature a youth music showcase to open the festivities with food options on site at Heist Brewery and Barrel Arts.
