After winning seven Academy Awards at the 95th Oscars including Best Picture, Everything Everywhere All at Once, will screen for a limited time at Charlotte’s Independent Picture House. One of the most awarded films of all time, it also broke several barriers with Michelle Yeoh becoming the first Asian woman to win Best Actress and Ke Huy Quan winning Best Supporting Actor, becoming the first Vietnamese-born actor to win an Academy Award. Jamie Lee Curtis also won her first Oscar for Best Supporting Actress and directors Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert (Daniels) brought home the prize for Best Original Screenplay, Best Director, and Best Picture.
The surreal sci-fi comedy-drama follows an aging Chinese immigrant who is swept up in an insane adventure, where she alone can save what’s important to her by connecting with the lives she could have led in other universes.
Located at 4237 Raleigh Street on the northern edge of NoDa, The Independent Picture House features three auditoriums with a combined seating for 199 patrons and a state-of-the-art projection and sound system.
