Black Notes Project, a two-day multi-venue music festival that celebrates Black music, presents Igmar Thomas and Revive Big Band with baritone operatic singer Tunde (LA Philharmonic, Detroit Opera). Best known for his “Hip Hopera” style of singing, Tunde’s social media videos have garnered millions of views and features in multiple national publications. Tunde will be joined by Igmar Thomas and his Revive Big Band, featuring original compositions and innovative orchestrations of jazz standards and contemporary classics from Oliver Nelson, Wayne Shorter and Freddie Hubbard to A Tribe Called Quest, J Dilla, Gang Starr, and Bilal.
