Pixies, Modest Mouse, and Cat Power coming to Charlotte in June

Pixies, Modest Mouse, and Cat Power (Chan Marshall) are heading back on tour in 2024 following their successful late summer run in 2023. The trio of indie rock bands that found most of their success in the ’90s, will kick off their spring/summer dates in Charleston at Firefly Distillery on Friday, May 31 and arrive in Charlotte on Saturday, June 1 at PNC Music Pavilion.

Pixies, a highly influential rock band during the alternative era, led by singer-songwriter and musician Black Francis and guitarist Joey Santiago, released their eighth studio album, Doggerel, in 2022. Modest Mouse, best known for their 2004 single, “Float On,” from their fourth studio album, Good News for People Who Love Bad News , released their latest album, The Golden Casket, in 2021. Following the death of drummer and founding member Jeremiah Green, Damon Cox of the indie rock duo, An Horse, took over as the full-time drummer in 2023.

Singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Charlyn Marie Marshall (Cat Power), released her latest studio album, Wanderer, in 2018, followed by an album of covers in 2022, and a live album, Cat Power Sings Dylan: The 1966 Royal Albert Hall Concert, in November of 2023.

Pixies last performed in Charlotte in 2018 (PNC Music Pavilion), Modest Mouse in 2022 (The Fillmore), and Cat Power in 2022 (Neighborhood Theatre).

Artist presales begin Tuesday, January 23 at 10 a.m. (code: PIXMODPOW) and tickets go on sale to the public Friday, January 26 at 10 a.m.
