Prolific Pakistani-American jazz guitarist and composer, Rez Abbasi and his quartet, will make their Jazz Room debut. Abassi’s music fuses modern jazz and traditional Indian music creating a vivid and innovative musical soundscape. Abbasi was awarded the Guggenheim Fellowship in 2021 for composition and has released 14 studio albums.
The Jazz Room, JazzArts Charlotte’s monthly event series, provides a casual and intimate setting with cabaret tables and a full bar, reminiscent of the classic jazz rooms of yesteryear.
