Grammy Award-winning folk rock singer-songwriter and musician Melissa Etheridge and multi-platinum artist and poet Jewel will bring their co-headlining tour to Charlotte’s Skyla Credit Union Amphitheatre this week.
Etheridge, who is best known for her hits “Come to My Window” and “I’m the Only One” from her 1993 album, Yes I Am, also won an Oscar for her song “I Need to Wake Up” from the film, An Inconvenient Truth. A prominent LGBTQ+ rights activist, she has released 16 studio albums with her latest, One Way Out, in 2021.
Jewel, a folk-pop singer-songwriter, poet, and guitarist from Alaska, is best known for her songs “Who Will Save Your Soul,” “Foolish Games,” and “You Were Meant for Me.” Her debut album in 1995, Pieces of You, went 12-times platinum and she has sold over 30 million albums sold worldwide. Jewel’s first five studio albums all reached the Top 10 on the Billboard charts and her 2008 country album, Perfectly Clear, debuted at No. 1 on the Country charts. She was also the winner of the sixth season of The Masked Singer in 2021, performing as the Queen of Hearts.
