The legendary Charlotte nightclub Mythos will celebrate the 20th anniversary of their closing with a reunion party at Black Box Theater. Organized by DJ and restaurateur Andy Kastanas (Soul Gastrolounge), the event will pay homage to one of Charlotte’s most storied nightclubs in Uptown, which existed from 1993 to 2004. The venue famously hosted internationally renowned DJs such as Tiesto, Paul Oakenfold, Paul Van Dyk, and Grandmaster Flash.
The reunion show will feature sets by former Mythos DJs Andy K, Bob Shaffer (Poodle Lounge resident), and Tober (Oracle resident).
“More than a building, Mythos was a collective consciousness. 20 years later we celebrate the music, the memories, the moments we shared from The Oracle to the Poodle Lounge,” said Kastanas.
Kastanas was involved in ownership or management of some of the most prominent nightclubs in Charlotte during the ’90s and early 2000s including Park Elevator, Mythos, Cosmos, and Salamandra.
