Shonali is a musician, actress, comedian, and frontwoman of the indie rock band, Tigers and Monkeys. Shonali’s musical roots trace back to her time with the indie rock band Ultrababyfat, which gained recognition opening for acts like Pavement and PJ Harvey. Her sophomore solo album, One Machine At A Time, was recently released on July 26.
Family Video is a Charlotte-based indie pop band fronted by Josh Shabtai. The group released their debut album, Shades, in 2022, and a new EP, Colors, on July 12.
The Eyebrows are an indie rock/power pop band from Charlotte comprised of singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Jay Garrigan, bassist and vocalist Darrin Gray, and drummer Shawn Lynch. They have released two studio albums (Volume in 2018 and Fight/Flight in 2021) with two new singles in 2024: “Say Yeah!” and “Double Take.”
Shalewa Sharpe is a Brooklyn-based comedian and writer originally from Atlanta, Georgia. Known for her sharp wit and relatable humor, she has performed on HBO’s 2 Dope Queens, The New Negroes on Comedy Central, and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Sharpe has released two comedy albums, Stay Eating Cookies and So, You Just Out Here?, and hosts the podcast, Thick Skin with Shalewa Sharpe.
