Kick off Labor Day weekend with Grammy Award-winning North Carolina bluegrass band Steep Canyon Rangers and folk singer-songwriters Jim Avett and David Childers at Anne Springs Close Greenway’s new tree-lined amphitheater in Fort Mill.

Food and beverages are available for purchase at Anne Springs Close Greenway’s on-site restaurant, the Gateway Canteen, offering an array of menu options and local craft beer. Lawn chairs and blankets are encouraged, and coolers are permitted, but subject to checking. No glass, tents or outside alcohol are allowed and well-behaved dogs on leashes are welcome to attend.

Formed in 2000 at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, the Steep Canyon Rangers won the Grammy Award for Best Bluegrass Album in 2013 for Nobody Knows You. The band is also well known for their collaborations with comedian and actor Steve Martin, releasing a studio album with him in 2017. Steep Canyon Rangers released their latest album, Arm in Arm, in 2020 through Yep Roc Records, debuting at No. 2 on the Billboard Bluegrass Albums chart.
