Super Abari Game Bar’s popular block party will return on September 16 for the first time since 2019. The last block party took place at their old location pre-Covid, so this will be the first time the event is hosted at the new and improved Belmont neighborhood bar. The festival-style event will feature a stellar lineup of Charlotte rock bands (Junior Astronomers, Dipstick, Petrov, Modern Moxie, and Clearbody) along with budding Queen City rapper Lord Jah-Monte Ogbon. Utilizing the entire facility (bar, patio, and parking lot), there will be a full soundstage setup for the musical performances outside.

Also on site will be local food trucks and an “eclectic mix of local vendors and artists” with more to be announced in the coming weeks. Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit local non-profit, The Bulb, a donation-based farmers market that provides fresh produce and resources to food insecure areas.

After the last block party was cancelled in March of 2020, Zach Pulliam (owner of Super Abari Game Bar) wasn’t sure if the event would ever return. Although it will now take place in September instead of March, Pulliam says, “people are really going to enjoy this new iteration of the event.”

The Super Abari Game Bar Block Party will take place Saturday, September 16 from 12 p.m. to 2 a.m. and tickets are $10.
