Taste of Charlotte, the three-day food festival that began in 1998, returns this weekend with an array of tastings from various Charlotte-area restaurants. Stretching across five city blocks on Tryon Street, the event will feature over 100 offerings from local restaurants and food trucks like Sabor Latin Street Grill, Noom Yai, State of Confusion, Mister 3’s Crab Pot, Enat Ethiopian Restaurant, Cuzzo’s Cuisine, Biryani Pot, Mama’s Caribbean Grill, Basil Thai, and more. Attendees can also enjoy baked goods from Renaissance Pâtisserie, Tous les Jours, and Small Cakes, along with treats like Italian Ice, frozen yogurt, Dippin’ Dots, funnel cakes, and donuts.

The festival will also feature a kid’s zone with a giant slide, obstacle courses, bounce houses, speed pitch, and a rock climbing wall. Festival coins can be used for each activity, or you can buy a wristband for $20 to play all day. Multiple stages will feature live music, dance shows, and other entertainment acts throughout the weekend (check out the schedule).

All restaurants are also entered into the Best of the Taste Competition, and the winner of each category receives a Silver Plater Award. Taste of Charlotte is free to enter, but tasting coin cups are $20, which include 14 coins for food, beverages, and kid’s activities.

Friday, June 7 from 11 a.m. – 11 p.m.
Saturday, June 8 from 11 a.m. – 11 p.m.
Sunday, June 9 from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
