Retail, dining and entertainment district, The Bowl at Ballantyne, will celebrate their official grand opening this weekend with plenty of food options, activities, and live music. Bowl Street will be open to the public for a block party with a DJ, giveaways, kids activities, face painting, a make-your-own sunglasses station, a braid bar, and more. Olde Mecklenburg Brewery will also be hosting their Mecktoberfest with stein holding contests and German delicacies like bier cheese, sausage, and schnitzel. The evening will culminate with a concert at The Amp Ballantyne with progressive bluegrass/folk band Trampled by Turtles (tickets start at $54 for lawn seats).
Proceeds from the block party and The Amp concert will be donated to the American Red Cross. Olde Mecklenburg Brewery will also serve as a drop-off site for essential supplies.
The first 1,000 people at the event will also receive free swag bags with goodies from The Bowl restaurants and retailers.
