Thirty Seconds to Mars will perform in Charlotte for the first time since 2018. The alternative rock band from Los Angeles, formed in 1998 by brothers Jared Leto (vocals, guitar, bass, keyboards) and Shannon Leto (drums, percussion) released their self-titled debut album in 2002, and broke through with their sophomore album, A Beautiful Lie, in 2005, featuring the hit singles “The Kill,” and “Attack,” and “From Yesterday.” Their third studio album, This Is War, released in 2009, marked a shift in their sound; with grander arena rock compositions, it reached No. 2 on the Billboard Alternative Albums charts. They are coming off the release of their more pop and electronic influenced album, It’s the End of the World but It’s a Beautiful Day, which dropped in September.
AFI is an alternative rock band from Ukiah, California, best known for their hits “Miss Murder” and “Girls Not Grey.” Currently consisting of members Davey Havok (vocals), Adam Carson (drums), Hunter Burgan (bass, keyboard), and Jade Puget (guitar), they have released eleven studio albums and 10 EPs, breaking into the mainstream with their sixth studio album, Sing the Sorrow, in 2003, which reached No. 5 on the Billboard 200.
Poppy is a multi-genre singer-songwriter and multidisciplinary artist, who earned a Grammy nomination for her song, “Bloodmoney,” from the metal/rock album, I Disagree, released in 2020.
KennyHoopla is an alternative pop-punk singer-songwriter and guitarist who gained widespread acclaim with his 2020 EP, How Will I Rest in Peace if I’m Buried by a Highway?. The project led to a collaboration with Blink-182’s Travis Barker on the EP, Survivors Guilt: The Mixtape, in 2021.
