The theatrical adaptation of the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Harper Lee, To Kill A Mockingbird, written for the stage by Academy Award-winning playwright, screenwriter and film director, Aaron Sorkin, will play at Charlotte’s Belk Theater August 1-6. With direction by Tony Award-winner Bartlett Sher (The King and I, My Fair Lady, and Camelot), the story follows Atticus Finch, an Alabama attorney in the 1930s defending Tom Robinson, a Black man falsely accused of rape, in this time-honored tale.
