Comedian Hasan Minhaj will return to Charlotte on May 16 to Knight Theater for his Off With His Head Tour. The Emmy and Peabody Award-winning comedian is best known for his work on The Daily Show as a senior correspondent from 2014 to 2018 and his speech at the 2017 White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
Minhaj released his first Netflix stand-up comedy special, Homecoming King, in 2017, followed by his own show, Patriot Act, from 2018 to 2020, which earned him his second Peabody Award. In 2019, Minhaj was listed in Time magazine’s annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world. He released his latest one-hour comedy special, The King’s Jester, in October of 2022.
In September 2023, The New Yorker alleged in an article that Minhaj fabricated stories used in his comedy specials, although he claimed there were “omissions and factual errors” in the reporting which “misrepresented” his life story.
Presale for the show at Knight Theater on May 16 will begin on Wednesday, November 16 with tickets going on sale to the general public Thursday, November 15 at 10 a.m.
