Colombian-American, bilingual R&B star Kali Uchis and Atlanta’s Mariah the Scientist are heading out on a co-headlining tour this summer, coming to Charlotte’s Truliant Amphitheater on June 8, with Laila! as the opener.

Uchis and Mariah the Scientist recently collaborated on “Pretty Promises” from Uchis’s deluxe album Sincerely, P.S. and on “Is It a Crime” from Mariah the Scientist’s Hearts Sold Separately.

Uchis, known for her dreamy, atmospheric R&B infused with Reggaeton, bolero, and Latin pop rhythms, has delivered hits like “telepatía,” “After the Storm” (featuring Tyler, the Creator & Bootsy Collins), “Moonlight,” and “10%” from Kaytranada’s 2019 album Bubba, which won a Grammy for Best Dance Recording.

Atlanta native Mariah the Scientist, who hosted an in-store record signing at Charlotte’s Lunchbox Records in August, is coming off the release of her fourth studio album, Hearts Sold Separately. She also recently performed at Winston-Salem State University’s homecoming show last October.

Laila!, the Brooklyn rapper/singer and daughter of rap legend Yasiin Bey (formerly Mos Def), released her debut album, Gap Year!, in 2024 and will open the tour.

Artist presale begins Tuesday, March 31 at 10 a.m. with tickets going on sale to the public Thursday, April 2 at 10 a.m.
