An IMAX listening experience for André 3000’s ‘New Blue Sun’ will play in select cities, including Charlotte

Following the release of André 3000’s 87-minute instrumental flute album, New Blue Sun, the rapper turned flautist has announced a one-night-only cinematic IMAX listening experience in select cities on January 23. Directed by Terence Nance (An Oversimplification of Her Beauty), the film is a “musical exploration in vivid detail and unparalleled sound quality through the IMAX live experience, blending captivating visuals and instrumentation,” according to the synopsis.

In partnership with André 3000’s creative company, A Myriad of Pyramids, the film will screen in select cities nationwide followed by a live-stream Q&A, including Charlotte’s Regal Stonecrest at Piper Glen on January 23 at 9 p.m. You can purchase your tickets here.
