After posting on X (Twitter) last week that he wanted to play a show in North Carolina, Chance the Rapper has announced a short series of summer tour dates, including a Charlotte stop with Winston-Salem’s own Tiacorine on May 22 at The Amp Ballantyne.

Chance Bennett (Chance the Rapper), who also mentioned having family in Pilot Mountain and Winston-Salem, is best known for his critically acclaimed mixtapes Acid Rap and Coloring Book, the latter of which won the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards.
TiaCorine, signed to Charlotte-based label South Coast Music Group, broke out in 2020 with her hits “Lotto” and “Freaky T” in 2022. She recently released a collaborative album with her supergroup The Scythe — featuring Denzel Curry, ASAP Ferg, Bktherula, and Key Nyata — titled Strictly 4 the Scythe on March 6.
Bennett is coming off the release of his latest album, Star Line, released in August, his first since 2019’s The Big Day. He last performed in Charlotte in 2017.
Presale for the Charlotte show at The Amp Ballantyne begins Wednesday, March 18, at 10 a.m., with tickets going on sale to the public Friday, March 20.
