Tickets: $9 plus
AfroPop!, one of the city’s longest-running dance parties, returns to Crown Station in NoDa. The event features music by percussionist DJ Kato and DJ Steel Wheel playing Afrobeats, AfroHouse, Amapiano, Soca, Afro-Latin House, Dance Hall, and Afro-Trap, paired with turntablism.
The evening will also feature a special performance by Ghanaian Afropop singer-songwriter and UNC Charlotte graduate, OkoDGreat. Local food vendor Suya King will be serving up authentic African cuisine along with tacos by Just Right Cuisine.
