The BIG3 basketball tour returns to Charlotte’s Spectrum Center for Week 7 of its eight-week regular season. A 3-on-3 basketball league founded by rapper and actor Ice Cube and entertainment executive Jeff Kwatinetz, the league is now in its sixth season.
In season five, it was Stephen Jackson’s Trilogy who took home the Dr. J Championship Trophy to become the first-ever back-to-back BIG3 champions and the first team in league history to win three titles.
Legends Julius Erving, Gary Payton, George Gervin, Gilbert Arenas, and Lisa Leslie will make appearances with former players Joe Johnson, Jason Richardson, Michael Beasley, Gerald Green, and many more.
Ice Cube will also be performing at halftime along with Atlanta rap duo, Tag Team, who is best known for their hit single, “Whoomp! (There It Is).”
