Black Notes Project, a two-day multi-venue music festival that celebrates Black music, presents the Brandee Younger Trio. Younger is a Grammy-nominated harpist that fuses classical, jazz, soul, and funk influences with traditional harp music. The trio will perform jazz standards and selections from Younger’s most recent album, Brand New Life.

The evening will also debut the Black Notes Project Ensemble, comprised of local instrumentalists including members of the Charlotte Strings Collective, led by conductor Phillip Biedenbender (Charlotte Master Chorale). The ensemble will play multi-genre covers with new and innovative arrangements featuring rapper Mad Skillz.
